Source governance
Each source record should store owner, URL or endpoint, jurisdiction, licensing terms, permitted uses, update schedule, field coverage, retention rules, ingestion status and quality history. FIIDO.org should provide the cross-border compliance and RegTech layer for data residency, privacy, licensing, KYC/AML and jurisdictional controls where applicable.
Useful free centralization
Even when CPP cannot redistribute an entire third-party dataset, it can provide normalized identifiers, citations, update timestamps and direct pathways to authoritative records. The free product becomes useful because researchers no longer need to know which agency, port, registry or filing system contains each fragment.
